Terms of Service

1. Acceptance, Clickwrap, and Scope

By creating an account, checking the agreement box during onboarding, or using SeekaKey, you indicate that you agree to these terms, subject to pending legal review. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Clickwrap note: the onboarding interface should present explicit acceptance of the Terms and Privacy Policy before profile submission.

2. 18+ Age Requirement and Eligibility

SeekaKey is for people who are 18 years of age or older and able to search for, offer, or manage residential housing. People under 18 must not create accounts or submit personal information.

3. Service Role and Rental Relationships

SeekaKey provides a residential rental platform connecting renters, landlords, and verification workflows. We facilitate discovery, profiles, messaging, and certain trust steps, but we are not a party to leases or rental agreements between users.

4. Accounts, Security, Suspension, and Termination

You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and use the service lawfully and respectfully. SeekaKey may suspend or terminate access when an account appears fraudulent, abusive, unsafe, inaccurate, or inconsistent with these terms, subject to pending legal review.

5. Intellectual Property and User Content

Legal-review-pending scaffold: SeekaKey retains its rights in the product, brand, interface, code, and service content. You keep the rights you hold in your listings, messages, images, and other user-generated content.

UGC license placeholder: when you submit user-generated content, you grant SeekaKey a limited license to host, display, transmit, technically adapt, and moderate that content to operate, secure, and improve the service.

6. Quebec Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Legal-review-pending scaffold: these terms should be interpreted under applicable Quebec and Canadian laws, and competent courts in Quebec should be the starting point for disputes, subject to mandatory consumer rights and final legal review.

7. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Class Actions

Dispute resolution and arbitration placeholder: the parties should first try to resolve disputes in good faith through notice and discussion. Any arbitration, mediation, timing, venue, or process requirement must be confirmed by counsel before final publication.

Class action waiver placeholder: any waiver, limitation, or treatment of class actions remains a pending legal-review item and must not be presented as approved or enforceable until finalized.

8. Warranties, Disclaimer, and Limitation of Liability

Warranty disclaimer placeholder: the service is provided to facilitate rental and trust workflows, but applicable warranties, representations, exclusions, and limits must be reviewed by counsel before final publication.

Limitation of liability placeholder: any limit on liability for indirect damages, data loss, user disputes, rental decisions, or service unavailability remains pending legal review.

9. Privacy, Consent, and Changes

Use of SeekaKey is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Material changes to the terms should be communicated in-product or through another reasonable method, with renewed acceptance when required by contract or applicable law.
